Skate or Die

You are no pro skater, in fact you are barely a novice. But, growing up in the 70’s, the sport is in your blood. As a little kid, you spent days relentlessly tagging alongside your brother and his buddies, waiting for one of them to fork over their board so you could give it a spin. You loved the bumpy road beneath your feet…and the sound of polyurethane wheels on asphalt was music to your ears. But, since you were at the mercy of your brother and his pals, your time on the deck was next to none. Mostly, you were used as a human obstacle.

Many years later, you are still drawn to the sport. In fact, today, you have your very own Think skateboard, complete with Independent Trucks, Spitfire Wheels and Element bearings. As far as your arsenal of skateboarding tricks goes, alas, there are no 360 flips, nose manuals or crooked grinds, just a half-decent ollie. But, it’s a damn good ollie.

So, if you’re wondering what to get kids (or kids at heart) this season, why not buy them their own skateboards? Forget the Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4 video game, nothing beats the real thing!
